There are not many who, like the Uruguayan Jorge Brovetto Cruz (14.02.1933-08.06.2019), combine action and reflection, occupy leadership positions, first in their country, then at a regional and international level and, going forward, exercise influence on the political life of their countries and also internationally. Jorge Brovetto is not a unique case, but it is rare. The parade of facts that marked its history is impressive. En el sector educativo las cosas están muy claras. Hay nombres que destacan por su acción individual en las instituciones, en determinados lugares, en un sector específico, en el sistema educativo en general. Otros destacan por su capacidad para reflexionar y analizar la educación y su impacto, a lo largo de la historia, en la organización de las sociedades. No son muchos los que, como el uruguayo Jorge Brovetto Cruz (14.02.1933-08.06.2019), combinan acción y reflexión, ocupan posiciones de liderazgo, primero en su país, luego a nivel regional e internacional y, de cara al futuro, ejercen influencia. en la vida política de sus países y también a nivel internacional. Jorge Brovetto no es un caso único, pero sí raro. Es impresionante el desfile de hechos que marcaron su historia. No setor de educação, as coisas são muito claras. Há nomes que se destacam por sua ação individual em instituições, em determinados lugares, num setor específico, no sistema educativo em geral. Outros se notabilizam pela capacidade de reflexão, de análise sobre educação, seu impacto, no decurso da história, na organização das sociedades. Não são muitos os que, como o uruguaio Jorge Brovetto Cruz (14.02.1933-08.06.2019), unem ação e reflexão, ocupam posições de liderança, primeiro em seu país, em seguida em nível regional e internacional e, indo adiante,exercem influência na vida política de seus países e também internacionalmente. Jorge Brovetto não é um caso único, mas é raro. O desfilar dos fatos que marcaram sua história impressiona.
