Quantitative results are presented, distinguishing the positions of various groups - women and men, academic elites, cognitive areas - and also qualitative results, derived from the hundreds of open responses received. The propensity to change shows, among other aspects, some few consensuses, a clear tendency not to change on the part of academic elites, shared opinions by less strong groups in the research hierarchy, and references to evaluation as part of other problems, for example, harmonization between academic life and family life. Based on the analysis carried out, some convergences of positions are identified that enable directions of change in how research is evaluated in Uruguay, and aspects are pointed out that require in-depth collective discussions to define whether or not to change and, above all, in which direction the change should go.

Este artículo analiza ciertos resultados de una encuesta reciente dirigida al universo de quienes investigan en Uruguay para conocer sus opiniones sobre diversos aspectos asociados a su trabajo, centrándose en lo que piensan sobre la evaluación académica, si conviene o no cambiarla y en qué direcciones se debería hacerlo. Se presentan resultados cuantitativos, distinguiendo las posiciones de diversos colectivos -mujeres y hombres, élites académicas, áreas cognitivas- y también cualitativos, derivados de los centenares de respuestas abiertas recibidas. La propensión a cambiar muestra, entre otros aspectos, algunos pocos consensos, una clara tendencia a no cambiar por parte de las élites académicas, opiniones compartidas por parte de colectivos menos fuertes en la jerarquía investigativa y referencias a la evaluación como parte de otros problemas, por ejemplo, armonización entre vida académica y vida familiar. A partir del análisis efectuado se identifican algunas convergencias de posiciones que habilitan direcciones de cambio en las formas en que se evalúa la investigación en Uruguay y se señalan aspectos que requieren discusiones colectivas en profundidad para definir si cambiar o no y, sobre todo, hacia dónde cambiar. Este artigo analisa alguns resultados de uma pesquisa recente dirigida ao universo de quem faz pesquisa no Uruguai para conhecer suas opiniões sobre diversos aspectos associados ao seu trabalho, enfocando o que pensam sobre a avaliação acadêmica, se é aconselhável ou não alterá-la. e em que direções deveria estar fazendo isso. São apresentados resultados quantitativos, distinguindo as posições de vários grupos - mulheres e homens, elites académicas, áreas cognitivas - e também resultados qualitativos, derivados das centenas de respostas abertas recebidas. A propensão à mudança mostra, entre outros aspectos, alguns poucos consensos, uma clara tendência de não mudança por parte das elites académicas, opiniões partilhadas por grupos menos fortes na hierarquia da investigação e referências à avaliação como parte de outros problemas, por exemplo , harmonização entre a vida acadêmica e a vida familiar. Com base na análise realizada, identificam-se algumas convergências de posicionamentos que permitem direções de mudança na forma como a pesquisa é avaliada no Uruguai, e apontam-se aspectos que requerem discussões coletivas aprofundadas para definir se deve ou não mudar e, sobretudo, em que direção a mudança deve ir.
