For the conversion, a double balanced diode passive mixer is used and a bandpass filter with coupled microstrips is implemented to attenuate the intermodulation products and unwanted signals after the conversion. This circuit is the second stage of a double conversion up-converter that raises the frequency from 10.7 MHz to 2.16 GHz, to be used in LTE applications. Results of simulations and measurements are shown. Se presenta el diseño, simulación, implementación y medición de un conversor de frecuencia analógico (up-converter), de arquitectura modular, con el cual se eleva la frecuencia de una portadora de 98 MHz (centro de la banda de FM comercial) hasta 2.16 GHz (banda Long-Term Evolution, LTE). Para la conversión se utiliza un mezclador pasivo a diodos doblemente balanceado y se implementa un filtro pasabanda con microtiras acopladas para atenuar los productos de intermodulación y señales no deseadas después de la conversión. Este circuito es la segunda etapa de un up-converter de doble conversión que eleva la frecuencia de 10,7 MHz a 2,16 GHz, para ser utilizado en aplicaciones LTE. Se muestran resultados de simulaciones y mediciones.
