Sumario:The objective of this article is the study and analysis of the impacts generated by the processes of economic and financial globalization in agriculture, agrarian structure and in the agri-food production systems in Paraguay during the last decades. In addition, it will seek to recognize different socio-territorial conflicts that arise between "agribusiness" and "peasant agriculture" in their transition to "family agriculture". Through the analysis of secondary information sources, an attempt will be made to demonstrate the hypothesis that the agribusiness model and the agro-industrial and agri-food complexes have consolidated in Paraguay as a development strategy in the last thirty years. First, an introductory framework to the problem in question is made; then, a historical reviewof the conflict in Paraguay regarding access to and distribution of land is developed; Subsequently, the transformations imposed by "agribusiness and/or agroindustry" in agriculture and in the way of producing food are analyzed; fourthly, it delves into peasant organization and resistance strategies; And finally, some final thoughts.
