| Sumario: | This work is part of the H932 research project entitled "Environmental problems and conflicts. Contributions for its mitigation from environmental planning and management in the Partido de La Plata (2000-2020)”; whose purpose is to analyze the incidence of Climate Change (CC) in the Partido de La Plata and its relationship with the different land uses as consequences of a dynamic urbanization process. The heterogeneous territorial configuration in the study area alternates a discontinuous urban fabric in constant transformation and advance over the peri-urban and rural space, giving rise to a strong incidence in the behavior of surface temperature and the development of the phenomenon of the "heat island ”. Using remote sensing as a technical tool for environmental information, we proceed to observe the daily and nightly temperatures taken by the MODIS satellite between the period 2001-2020 in the Partido de La Plata and analyze the behavior of the temperature in the areas urban inrelation to the surrounding spaces; accounting for the significant persistence of this phenomenon in an increasing way in the spaces reached by urbanization. The evolution of the urban sprawl in the period 1985-2020 demonstrates a sustained growth and consolidation of a scattered city model whose consequences demand an urgent application of environmental sustainability policies. |
