| Sumario: | Geographers and cartographers are mapping the Coronavirus in more sophisticated ways tan those used in past epidemics. As COVID-19 cases multiply around the world, interactive maps help inderstand how tha disease spreads, the variables, and the panic that come into play in this pandemic.
Regarding tha changes in current teaching practices in Argentina and in the world to fase the crisis unleashed by the coronavirus; we are witnessing the transsition from fase-to-face to virtual. In the regard, many unknowns arise that demand an answer: what can be done in the classroom? How to fase the challenges of education at home? How to know if the students are learning or not? How to plan pedagogical processes under such special circumstances?, among other questions.
In this work, training spaces that innovate in teaching are proposed, which require methodologies centered on the student, providing them with meaningful learning, chanes in the roles of teaxhers/students, incorporating of ICTs (and, within these, to the geotechnologies) to contribute to the generation and distribution of knowledge. Dealing with these unexpected situations requires fundamental competencies and aptitudes that are generally lacking in current learning processes.
The treatment of the problems that affect the planet has led to great improvements in terms of the volumen of information and the ease of Access to it with new technologies. Hence the importance of working in the classroom with all those resources that allow us to get closer to the knowledge of geographic facts from a global perspective such as satellite image, geographic information systems, Spatial Data Infrastructures and interactive panels. |
