| Sumario: | Writing about the beginning of environmental archaeology in Argentina and Dr. Rex González's role will contain an autobiographical component, since the Head of the Archaeology Division of the La Plata Museum and co-director of my doctoral thesis, put in my hands the responsibility of developing it. It is an incomplete work, since the serious events that affected the country in the 1970s interrupted this fascinating process. Fortunately, a young generation of archaeologists has retaken some of these lines, revamped them and enriched them with new ideas and new techniques that will allow us to improve and conclude what Rex González promoted almost four decades ago. |
