| Sumario: | In this paper, we present the public science communication project, El Alimento Oculto de la Ciudad, developed at the Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Necochea (MCNN), Buenos Aires province (2020-2024). The frame of this project was a paleoethnobotanical doctoral research, which investigates relationships between people and plants in food phenomena during the late Holocene in the southeast of the Pampa region and reflects on the reasons for the invisibilization of this knowledge in local communities. The project consists of a booklet, assembled in a museum exhibition, in which paleoethnobotanical information is presented on 18 native species of Argentina, located in public areas of the cities of Necochea and Quequén, and a writing space for the public to expand those biocultural knowledge, along with different instances of activation. Here, we analyze how the public communication project was redefined along its process in connection with the situation and the institutional framework of the MCNN. We motivate reflections around the relevance of the dialogic construction of this project together with the generation of data in our doctoral research, contextualized in the locality in which we live and develop, in part, our archaeological practice. |
