| Sumario: | In a context of social and environmental transformations, a plan for an archaeological museum-park is proposed in the community of Ligüiqui, located on the central coast of Ecuador, as part of a strategy for the resilience of the population and for the conservation/valorization of an outstanding cultural heritage, where a fishing complex of pre-Hispanic structures built in the intertidal zone stands out and has remained in force until today. For its development, a participatory approach has been followed that runs through all phases of the research, based on a qualitative methodology, interweaving the formal-architectural aspects with the environmental and intangible ones. The results are embodied in a combination of classic concepts of ecomuseums (territory, heritage and community) with the most recent ones oriented towards citizen participation, articulating, in conclusion, an initiative that integrates elements related to empowerment, community self-management and collective identity as a dynamic process, with the aspiration of its inhabitants to achieve sustainable development. |
