Sumario:The article explores evangelical-Pentecostal therapy specialized in the treatment of addictions in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. To do this, it analyzes the fictional framework developed by leaders and the controversies that internally structure them. The research identifies three significant disputes: (a) The first one, tackle the relationship between the professional addiction ministry and the church of origin; (b) The second one, addresses the tension concerning psychology and spirituality approach as well as the technologies of the self performed by each of them and finally (c) the third one, recognizes the conflict among different sources of authority that strain the functioning of the Program. The conclusions, stress how the potentially contaminating figure of the individual under treatment is reclassified in moral terms. The work is based on a qualitative approach strategy that includes in-depth interviews, participant observation, a corpus of written and audiovisual documents and virtual ethnography on social networks.
