Sumario:Archaeological studies of lithic artifacts carved and manufactured or modified by pitting and abrasion, reached such a degree of development in Argentina that, from different perspectives, they have led to a growing interest in the combination of different types of analysis for a better understanding of the management of raw materials and instruments. In this way, a field that, as a methodological strategy, proposes the recognition and combined and complementary study of morphological, dimensional, technological, typological, functional, kinematic and symbolic variables that allow to approach the ways of doing and using from a holistic perspective.
