Sumario:This article explores the descriptive and analytical potential that engaging, attracting attention and accumulating (as local practices of seduction and multiplication) provide for the understanding of the relationships of commerce, commensality and organization of La Feria de los Patos, a Sunday food fair of the city of Córdoba, Argentina. This Fair has been recognized by certain discourses, among others the media, as a space of migrants of Peruvian origin. However, it is my purpose to approach it as an assemblage of collectives, interests and diverse activities, which puts into circulation a particular idea of commerce, making economic transactions and affective commitments practices difficult to separate. By an ethnographic journey through the food stands and the ways in which these are linked with the family, the meals and the clients, I will introduce the crucial role that seduction practices play in establishing of intimacy and commerce relationships. A issue that leads me to discuss the fundamental place they have in the organization and maintenance of La Feria de los Patos every Sunday.
