Sumario:The study of lipids through gas chromatography and the microscopic functional analysis on experimental lithic flaked artifacts and archaeological artifacts from Cueva Zoro site (Lobería, Buenos Aires) are presented. The possibilities and limitations of the combined approach of these methods are evaluated in order to obtain accurate information about organic resources. The results presented in this paper point toward the importance of complementing these two independent techniques and their significance for contexts lacking organic remains preservation.
