Sumario:A series of basic definitions taken into account in the process of formation of Local Development Management Group in Camajuaní Municipality are conceptualized. Training is confirmed as a basic process in preparation for Territory to assume a sustainable and self-managed local development rocess. Highly complex challenges posed by University Knowledge Management at local level are clarified. The role and functions of Municipal University Center (MUC) as a Local University in the Local Development Network, the main actors of the Network, the results of the initial diagnosis of the Municipality, the main Strategic Lines of the Territory and the basic composition of the Local Development Management Group in the town. Work was done on the application of indicators and the measurement of the impact of Higher Education on local development.
