Sumario:In many industrialized capitalist countries, there has been evidence for a long time that many problems of working conditions and environment have an impact on the mental and mental health of workers, as well as on the functioning of companies and organizations. But it was also verified, more recently, that psychosocial risk factors at work have repercussions in such spaces on absenteeism, staff turnover, quality of life at work, work accidents, occupational diseases, prolonged and costly litigation for both parties. This slows down productivity, deteriorates quality and generates difficulties in the use of new technologies. On the other hand, at the level of macroeconomics, the lack of prevention generates high costs in the health and social security systems, due to the increase in work incapacities, with fiscal impacts.
