| Sumario: | This paper analyzes the construction of the space in the Franco-Argentine film La León (2007), by Santiago Otheguy, and its dialogue with the intimacy of the characters. In this regard, we look at how the natural environment of the Paraná Delta is configured as a poetic space that governs the aesthetic construction of the film and, along the same lines, forms a framework that intertwines intimacy, dissimulation, homoerotic desire, homophobia, xenophobia and, above all, violence. The analysis focuses on the intersections that can be established between space and intimacy, and for this, pays special attention to the construction of some planes.
