Sumario:This article aims to discuss and articulate the relationship of urban development with housing deficit of Uberlândia from the analysis of the My House, My Life and the municipality. Are important in the research the historical trajectory of urban development and housing in relation Uberlândia. On the other hand, highlights the complexity of actors/classes and interests contained in the projects of My House, My Life, where owners of urban land and builders acquire prominence in program implementation. The process of implementing the PMCMV generated, in Uberlândia, a 'peripheralization', while it sought to solve, in the medium term, the housing deficit in the region, mainly among those earning between 0 and 3 minimum wages, and the bottlenecks of mobility, energy and other public services in the marginal areas of the projects.
