Sumario:Houses, neighborhoods, squares, schools, landscapes, airports, are settings where childhood experiences unfold. As part of the progress of my doctoral research, I explore the spatial dimension of the memories of those who were boys and girls in exile of the last dictators of Argentina and Uruguay. From a biographical perspective, I retrieve the memories of the houses that were part of the experiences of “those” boys and girls. Memories are linked to certain places where family dynamics developed, games with other children, the echoes of the horrors of dictatorial repression. Revisiting the spaces of childhood, allows us to explore between landscapes and corners that populated the experience of exile and that configure a particular way of dwelling.
