| Sumario: | Based on the analysis of the itineraries of the Chilean exiles who arrived in France, the purpose of this work is to formalize the explanations or assumptions to understand them in the context of the time. However, we postulate that the ways of departure and the route to arrive in France will have an impact on the settling in France, which will later have consequences on the integration of the exile. We will take as a documentary basis the administrative files of the French Office for Refugees and Stateless People (OFPRA) whose consultation has only been possible since 2010 when the History Section was created and the files were partially opened. I was able to consult 889 adult exile files, which represents a valuable source to analyze a phenomenon that cannot yet be studied in diplomatic archives whose access is still prohibited or very limited in France for such close periods. |
