| Sumario: | In 1977, the Argentine military dictatorship created a "Pilot Center" in Paris in order to counteract the denunciation of Human Rights violations reported from abroad. Nearly four years later, in 1981, the international colloquium "The policy of enforced disappearances of persons" took also place in Paris, where500 jurists of different nationalities discussed this issue. These milestones show the importance of the French capital in settling the Argentine drama, leading historians to wonder how denunciation was coordinated there. This article aims to analyze the cooperation among different organizations in order to denounce violations of Human Rights in Argentina by exploring some experiences proposed by the Club des droits socialistes de l'homme and the Association internationale de défense des artistes victimes de la répression dans le monde (AIDA). This paper show how transnational denunciation networks were deployed in Paris, where political actors used multiple strategies to erode or reinforce, in the transnational public space, the alleged legitimacy of the Argentine dictatorship. |
