| Sumario: | In the context of the emerging social conflict in Latin America in the 1990s, this article reflects on an emblematic case of recent historic Argentina: the "puebladas" of Cutral Co / Huincul. In this direction and re visiting the abundant bibliographic production of regional / national scope and the different theoretical methodological perspectives used; we propose: 1). trace the conceptualizations that have been explored; 2) propose an alternative explanation and 3) put into tension those interpretations that place the facts of the oil region as the beginning of a rebellious / revolutionary moment on a national scale and a significant cleavage in the formation of a piquetero collective identity that would have resulted in the constitution of a new subject and a social movement that challenges the existing order. |
