Sumario:The aim of the study was to analyze the evidence of validity of the internal structure, factorial invariance and reliability of the Brief Index of Religiosity and Spirituality (BMMR) in Peruvian citizens, during the days of the health emergency due to COVID-19. Instrumental research, which had the participation of 622 (58.7% women) in days of sanitary emergency due to COVID-19. The analysis of the internal structure was performed through confirmatory factor analysis, the reliability was calculated through the Omega coefficient in addition to statistics for factorial invariance according to sex. The results confirmed the two-factor structure of the BMMR (χ2 = 395.55, df = 89, p = 0.00; CFI = 0.972; TLI = 0.967; RMSEA = 0.074 [CI95% 0.67 - 0.082], SRMR = 0.053 and WRMR = 1.201); it is invariant, i.e. applicable for both sexes and presents acceptable reliability (ω > 0.80).
