Decorated by the Australian Academy of Social Sciences, the Australian Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association, Suddendorf is also the author of one of the most cited articles in the area of neuroscience and behaviour - Mental Journey through Time and the Evolution of the Human Mind (Suddendorf & Corballis, 1997) - in which he explores mental travel through time, one of the central axes on which he analyses the differences between humans and the other species of the animal kingdom. Con esta frase Thomas Suddendorf inicia un recorrido por la evolución de los humanos, una especie que ha logrado separarse de sus parientes cercanos para convertirse en el mayor generador de cambios sobre la faz de la tierra.    Condecorado por la Academia Australiana de Ciencias Sociales, la Sociedad Psicológica Australiana y la Asociación Psicológica Americana, Suddendorf es además autor de uno de los artículos más citados en el área de la neurociencia y el comportamiento – Viaje mental en el tiempo y la evolución de la mente humana (Suddendorf & Corballis, 1997) –, en el cual explora el viaje mental en el tiempo, uno de los ejes centrales sobre los cuales analiza las diferencias entre los humanos y las demás especies del reino animal.
