Sumario:This paper seeks to make a first approach tosome of the ideas that layed the foundationsfor the prison reform in Córdoba. Those proposals,characterized by its eclectic points of view, areapproached from a comparative perspective,analyzing representations about crime andpunishment, prison systems proposed, therole given to the local context and therelationship they established betweenrehabilitation and the accused´s productivity.
