Sumario:In this paper we analyze the relation-ship between war and politics in the Rio de la Plata from the case of the ‘Ejército Auxiliar del Perú’ during the first campaign (1810-1811). In order to fill our objective, we will  track, through the officers of the army, the main conflicts and how certain political princi-ples defined the reasons for the struggle.
