| Sumario: | AbstractWe intend to understand the intervention of party organizations in the process of politicization of union leaders in Fiat Concord during the period 1964 and 1970. In this sense, we recover the trajectory of activists comparing their participation with the experience of other manufacturing units belonging to the Italian company. We recognize in this participation two strategic orientations that were revealed during the 1965 strike: one, of a reformist nature and the other, radicalized. We observe, in this line, that the reformist orientation was losing preponderance after the Cordobazo (1969), a conflict that favored the radicalization of union militancy in the factory, whose maximum expression occurred in the political composition of the new union leadership from March 1970. In this way, the activity of party organizations can be considered one of the factors that made possible the politicization of union activism, observing a displacement towards the leftist parties that fought for socialism. |
