| Sumario: | The present work investigates the funerals of former governors of the province of Mendoza Rufino Ortega and Jose Néstor Lencinas, who died in the first decades of the twentieth century in an unstable political and social conjuncture. Although these ceremonies, organized by the State, presented certain similar characteristics, they also manifested certain particularities that were aimed at underlining the identity values of the party in which these individuals had militated and thus legitimize their own government. |
