| Sumario: | This paper analyses from the point of view of performance two events that took place during the struggle for the defence of water in Mendoza and against polluting mega-mining. Both The Largest March in History and The March of the Drums for Water present unique characteristics that distinguish them from other demonstrations because in their development they attain the characteristics of performance art. These characteristics are analysed on the basis of the particular structures and conventions present in each. In addition, we observe how multimediality operates in both events in what is known as performance constellations. Finally, we make a brief comparative reflection on a play inspired by the December manifestations from the point of view of archive and repertoire. |
