This digitalization of photography has not just been a technical change. Said evolution has meant a rather wide variety of new forms of photography, as well as new ways of understanding and interact with the image. Amongst these recent paradigms, we find the relation between memory and photography. A relation that seems unquestionable but that cease to be solid when one confronts it to contemporany models of phtography. En este artículo se plantea una serie de reflexiones sobre el cambio que ha supuesto el paso de la fotografía analógica a la fotografía digital tomando el álbum fotográfico familiar como objeto de estudio. Esta digitalización de la fotografía no ha sido únicamente un cambio técnico. Dicha evolución ha significado todo un abanico de nuevas formas de fotografía, así como nuevas maneras de entender y relacionarnos con la imagen. Entre estos paradigmas recientes, se encuentra la relación entre memoria y fotografía. Una relación que parece incuestionable pero que deja de ser tan firme al enfrentarse a los modelos actuales de la fotografía.
