I also invested the representation of the Sub-program of Museums and Science Centers of the Program for the Popularization of Science, Technology and Art of the National University of Córdoba (SECYT).This conference was a useful undertaking that should be imitated, since University Museums face multiple challenges in all countries.A brief comment is made on the works submitted by the Health Sciences Museums and the Museum of the History of Medicine of UNAM. “Nuevas rutas para los museos universitarios” fue el nombre propuesto para las reflexiones realizadas con motivo del sexto Congreso Internacional de Museos Universitarios de UMAC y la conferencia anual de ICOM México. Se realizó en el Distrito Federal, en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), entre los días 25 al 29 de Septiembre del año pasado 2006.Fuimos invitados para participar como ponente, con un trabajo donde mostramos las actividades realizadas y los proyectos del Museo Histórico Hospital Nacional de Clínicas, llevando la representación del Subprograma Museos y Centros de Ciencias delPrograma de Divulgación Científica, Tecnológica y Artística de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (SECYT).Sin lugar a dudas que el Congreso, fue una loable iniciativa, digna de imitar, ya que los Museos Universitarios afrontan múltiples retos, en cualquier país donde se encuentren.Se hace un pequeño comentario de los trabajos presentados por los Museos de Ciencias de la Salud y otro referido al Museo de Historia de la Medicina de la UNAM.
