Primer profesor de Historia de la Medicina en Córdoba Cremades, Norma Acerbi History is one of the disciplines serving Medicine and other Health Sciences. Since time began and due to its evolutionary features as well as its informative and formative values, History has permitted to praise excellence in professional performance.The School of Medicine of Cordoba was created on October 10th, 1877. The first syllabus was developed by Dr. Henry Weyenbergh and put into practice in March 1878. Article 4 of such syllabus presented History of Medicine as a “not compulsory course”, the same as Medical Chemistry and Experimental Toxicology.In 1927, Dr Felix Garzón Maceda (4) referred to History of Medicine as a: “Subject not created yet for any Argentinian School, in spite of its growing philosophical importance”.The objective of this work is to remember Dr. Enrique Pedro Aznarez, the person who taught the first Optional Course on History of Medicine in 1943, standing out for over 30 years, as the true mentor of Humanistic Studies in Cordoba.On December 3rd, 1969, he established the first History of Medicine Museum and finally in 1971 he created the Institute of History of Medicine and the Subject. He was the Professor of such subject from 1972 to 1982. La Historia es una de las disciplinas puestas al servicio de la Medicina y otras Ciencias de la Salud. Desde comienzos de los tiempos y hasta la actualidad y por sus características evolutivas y sus valores informativos y formativos, la Historia permite jerarquizar la excelencia en el desempeño profesional.La Facultad de Medicina de Córdoba se creó el 10 Octubre de 1877. Su primer plan de estudios fue redactado por el Dr. Henry Weyenbergh, y puesto en marcha en Marzo de l878. En el artículo 4 de dicho plan figuraba la Historia de la Medicina, como “estudio no obligatorio”, al igual que la Química Médica y la Toxicología Experimental.En 1927, el Dr. Feliz Garzón Maceda (4) decía de la Historia de la Medicina: “Cátedra aún no creada para ninguna Facultad Argentina, no obstante su importancia filosófica cada vez mayor”.El presente trabajo tiene por objeto recordar al Dr. Enrique Pedro Aznarez, quien dictó en 1943 el primer Curso Libre de Historia de la Medicina, destacándose durante más de treinta años, como el verdadero mentor de los estudios humanísticos en Córdoba.El 3 de Diciembre de 1969 instaló el Primer Museo de Historia de la Medicina, hasta que consiguió en 1971, la creación del Instituto y Cátedra de Historia de la Medicina.
