| Sumario: | Objective: To identify the prevalence of mental and behavior disorders related with first level of attention, through of mortality rates analysis from Argentina and province of Córdoba.Methodology: Database of mortality 2005 and 2006 from the Department of Health was analyzed. General Mortality Rates (GMR) and Specific (EMR) according to sex, age and Mental and Behavior Disorders causes (MBD), Proportional Mortality (PM) and Quotient of Mortality for Argentina and province of Córdoba, was calculated. Softwares SPSS and InfoStat.Results: In year 2005, the GMR was similar between country and province of Córdoba, while the EMR by cause and sex were lower in Córdoba. MBD represented 0,74% of PM in Argentina, similar values were registered in 2006. Among all deaths for MBD, Organic Mental Disorders (OMD) and Mental Disorders due to use of Alcohol (MDA), represented the 96%. Deaths for OMD were accumulate from 60 years old and deaths for MDA were expressed like cause of death from 30 years old. The women presented more incidence of OMD and males more incidence of MDA. In the province of Cordoba similar values was observed.Conclusion: Prevalence of MBD observed in mortality rates of Argentina and province of Cordoba are related with pathologies that are included as needs in the first level of attention. |
