Sumario:Objective: Determine the prevalence of low back pain in port cargo transport equipment operators in a company in the city of Cartagena. Method: The methodology for the study of low back pain prevalence in 140 port equipment operators of a port company in the city of Cartagena will be focused on a descriptive analysis. All of the company's fifth-wheel truck (RD) and forklift operators participated. The felt morbidity questionnaire for static and dynamic load from the Occupational Risk Administrator was applied in a self-administered manner. Results: 29.2% (41 of 140) of the company's total workers were diagnosed with low back pain. There is a statistically significant relationship between the BMI body mass index classification and the diagnosis of low back pain with a confidence level of 95.0%. Conclusion: The prevalence of low back pain in the company was low in relation to other related studies, and a statistically significant relationship was found between the body mass index (BMI) and low back pain with a confidence level of 95.0%.
