| Sumario: | The School of Medical Sciences requests accreditation of training in medical specialties. Changes arose from the recommendations given by the National Commission of University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU, according to Spanish acronym) which led to improvements in academic activity. There were modifications in the evaluation system of medical specialties; three stand out: the conception of an articulated and structured evaluation system, the figure of observers-control, and the portfolio. Research was done from a qualitative-quantitative approach in order to inquire and analyze the evaluation processes being implemented in medical specialties since 2015. Interviews were held with a member of the Secretary of Health Sciences Graduates and with three observers; and fifty surveys were implemented with graduates from the specialty training careers. Participation in interviews and surveys was voluntary and confidential. Results are expressed in the following categories: “Evaluation as building a space moving between changes - resistance and learning”, “Control as guarantee, between checking and accompanying in promotional and integrating exams” and “Self-assessment and register of evaluations as institutional decisions.” |
