| Sumario: | OBJECTIVE: To analyze public policies linked to the control of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) through the promotion of physical activity (PA) in Rosario City between 2003 and 2017. METHOD: Those public interventions were considered in order to promote the PA in Rosario, regulated by regulations between 2003-2017. Regulatory and other content published on official websites of the province of Santa Fe and the municipality of Rosario were used, analyzed using the content analysis technique. RESULTS: 35 interventions were captured. Nine interventions explicitly set out to control NCDs and only one of them focused on the socioeconomic vulnerable population. CONCLUSIONS: The policy of promoting PA in Rosario experienced a marked boost since the end of the 2000s, was mostly aimed at the general population and began to explain its link with NCDs since the beginning of the following decade. |
