| Sumario: | This document addresses problems related to the oral health component of migrants registered in Argentina and in the world. The following aspects are included: Introduction: approaching characteristics of the actors and migratory transplant, sceneries in their socio-cultural complexity, current theoretical and methodological perspective regarding global health and health determinants. Problem analysis, including psychosocial ramifications of adaptations of migrants, acculturation as a variable taking part in the changes in morbidity following immigration and results of different studies regarding oral health of migrants based in different parts of the world. Reflections on the responsibility of the university concerning the exclusion of migrant population and available mechanisms to face their social and civic responsibility. |
