Sumario:Vulnerability regarding food insecurity is understood as a situation in which there is a risk, motivated by economic, social or environmental conditions, that access to enough harmless food to satisfy eating needs may be reduced. We worked with deep interviews to 20 people belonging to different neighborhoods in the capital city of the province of Neuquén, Argentina. Existing statistics for the population under study were also reviewed. As a conclusion, the homes studied are considered vulnerable to food insecurity since most of the enumerated factors affect food security negatively and those with more encouraging characteristics do not have consolidated assets to face adversities without suffering important risks as regards the nutritional situation of each of their members.
