The work was coordinated by María Mercedes Patrouilleau, researcher at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology of Argentina (INTA). The team is made up of Mario Daniel Anastasio, professor at the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires (FAUBA), Jean François Le Coq, researcher at the French Agricultural Research and Cooperation Center (CIRAD) and Octavio Sotomayor, affairs officer. economics of the Natural Resources Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). In collaboration with an extensive group of analysts, they tackle the task of analyzing the variables to propose four possible scenarios that outline the agri-food panorama of the region in the next two decades. The work is part of the Network of Public Policies and Rural Development in Latin America, promoted by the Center for Research and Cooperation for Agriculture of France (CIRAD), in collaboration with numerous academic institutions and international organizations. En el libro “Escenarios agroalimentarios para América Latina y el Caribe: Estudio prospectivo al año 2040”, un equipo de especialistas trabajó sobre las principales variables económicas, sociales, políticas, tecnológicas y ambientales que inciden en la cuestión agroalimentaria para la región. El trabajo fue coordinado por María Mercedes Patrouilleau, investigadora del Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria de Argentina (INTA). Integran el equipo Mario Daniel Anastasio, profesor de la Facultad de Agronomía de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (FAUBA), Jean François Le Coq, investigador del Centro de Investigación y Cooperación para la Agricultura de Francia (CIRAD) y Octavio Sotomayor, oficial de asuntos económicos de la División de Recursos Naturales de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL). En colaboración con un extenso grupo de analistas, abordan la tarea analizar las variables para proponer cuatro escenarios posibles que delinean el panorama agroalimentario de la región en las próximas dos décadas. La obra se inscribe en la Red de Políticas Públicas y Desarrollo Rural en América Latina, impulsada por el Centro de Investigación y Cooperación para la Agricultura de Francia (CIRAD), en colaboración con numerosas instituciones académicas y organismos internacionales.
