Sumario:Waste management is a topic of central importance in city management and is a problem that is becoming increasingly relevant in the global context due to the advancement of climate change. In cities, the waste management system often generates conflicting dynamics between different social actors. In some cases, the growth of the city determines that land uses that should not coexist in the same territory begin to juxtapose each other, which can give rise to socio-environmental conflicts. In the case of Bariloche, the final disposal site currently has around 10 neighborhoods located in its vicinity. This article aims to contribute to the discussion about the inherent tensions in the production of urban space and the emergence of socio-environmental conflicts in the territory as a result of the coexistence between different land uses. Likewise, the productivity of conflicts is analyzed in relation to the social, institutional, legal and territorial dimensions. Among the main findings is the capacity of the conflict juridification processes to translate demands and incorporate them into the public agenda.
