Sumario:In this article, we will deal with the renvoi, a classic problem of Private International Law (PIL), typical of the applicable law sector. Our intention is, without prejudice to studying its antecedents and traditional characteristics, to analyze this institute from the perspective of the PIL of the 21st Century, which is for this, it uses other methods and rules, which guide the legal operator towardsa certain result that is presumed more valuable, which in turn, under certain conditions, enables more flexible scenarios when resolving a multinational case, and that on other occasions gives a preponderant place to the autonomy. Given the current notes that characterize the PIL, it is necessary to review the problem of renvoi in the light of Argentine law as well as the most recent jurisprudence.
