Sumario:Cytological stability was studied in hexaploid triticales through observations of meiotic aberrations (univalents in Ml and micro nuclei in Tetrads). Meiotic irregularity counts were repeated after 5 years; during this period the material was sown consecutively. The cultivars analyzed were: Cachirulo, 6 I'A 204; Triticale 0205; Triticale 0204 and Rosner. The observations were made in CMP and the statistical analysis was carried out using the Differences of Proportions Test. It is concluded that to analyze meiotic stability it is not necessary to determine laggard frequencies. Of the 5 cultivars studied, Triticale 0205 is the only one cytologically stable.
