Sumario:The objective of this study was to identify the benefits of corporate volunteering for employees and for the studied cooperative. The research was carried out with 54 volunteers from a health care cooperative that encourages volunteer work among its employees. Qualitative and quantitative research techniques were adopted to develop the case study with data collection through documentary research, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, whose presentation involved the use of descriptive data techniques. The research results indicate that the Volunteer Program is a tool for human and professional development of employees and consequently beneficial for the cooperative. On the other hand, the cooperative gains with image, brand appreciation, positive corporate culture and a good relationship with the community and organizations. The research contributed significantly to a better understanding of the purpose of a volunteer program and its benefits for all involved, in addition to indicating volunteering as a management tool aligned with the cooperative's strategies.
