Sumario:The benefits and advantages for companies, arising from strategic training in productive arrangements, have been widely discussed. However, little is seen in the literature, studies on the decline or "death" of a productive arrangement. In this sense, this study aims to analyze the productive arrangement of structural ceramics in the municipality ofItuiutaba-MG, seeking to understand the reasons that culminated in its decline. For data collection, the semi-structured interview was used, using as a script the questions presented in the Franzolin (2018). The survey was conducted between February and. March 2020. It was found that, for some years, there was in fact a structural ceramic arrangement in Ituiutaba-MG, classified as Local Development Vector (SUZIGAN, 2006). However, to the detriment of the lack of governance and cooperation, lack of articulation and innovations, and pressures from regulations, especially environmental ones, companies ended their activities in a short period of time. According to the entrepreneurs interviewed, the crucial factor for the decline of the APL was the lack of territorial governance.
