An analysis of the cities of Tandil and Mar del Plata, Argentina against COVID-19 Resiliencia en destinos turísticos. Un análisis de las ciudades de Tandil y Mar del Plata, Argentina frente a la COVID-19 Izquierdo, Silvia Irene Diez Alberdi, Ane Miren Camio, María Isabel This research studies the conditions of resilience of two tourist destinations in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, specifically at times of COVID-19. Out of the general agreement found in literature about the appropriateness of studying the phenomenon in each particular context, an ad hoc methodology of analysis is determined and applied to the cities of Mar del Plata and Tandil. The findings allow to state that both destinations count with the elements developed in the capitals for tourist resilience (natural and cultural, financial, human, social, physical and political), identifying particularities in each case. There is an evident need to potentiate the conditions for resilience, by strenghtening the interinstitutional work and consolidating networks, so as to encourage creative and articulated collaboration among the tourist subsectors in both destinations.
