Sumario:The aim of this paper is to analyze the main features of the expansion of soybean in Argentina through the lens of two of the contradictions at the heart of capitalism: on the one hand, the contradiction between private appropriation and common wealth; and on the other hand, the contradiction between capital and nature. This paper offers empirical data to illustrate the dangerous consequences of this process of commodification that affects communities in the actual period of primitive accumulation in Argentina.
