| Sumario: | This article reconstructs a “history” of the main drug policies in Argentina from the beginning of the 20th century to 2010, their interrelation with the international drug control regime and the so-called prohibitionist-punitive paradigm. This is a bibliographic review of the available studies on drug policy in Argentina guided by Foucault's genealogical method. The objective of the article is to show the conditions of possibility of a prohibitionist-punitive paradigm in drug policy, its development, consolidation and possible alternatives, as well as to offer an orientation for the use of Foucauldian genealogy in the subject. |
