Sumario:The aim of this article is to describe the uses of new digital technologies by young beneficiaries from popular sectors of a state program for digital literacy Conectar Igualdad (PCI) at a school in La Plata. Based on early interpretations of a research in progress, we try to understand the productivity of certain courses of action that are enabled by the massive incorporation of netbooks on the school scenario. In particular, the article focuses on the possibility to be permanently "connected" that the young beneficiaries now have and the association they do between the connection and the widespread use of "social networks". With this purpose, based on a methodology that incorporates elements of a virtual ethnography (Hine 2004), this article attempts to describe and understand in its positivity, and its historical particularity and specificity, the emerging forms of youth sociability linked to these new digital technologies.
