| Sumario: | In the present document, the author expresses a series of reflections regarding the incidence of information and communications technologies in the digitalization of archives, addressing aspects such as the need for a sufficient legal framework, archival functional requirements, the assessment of electronic records, as well as aspects related to the privacy of personal data, the certification of the recordkeeping system, the storage of information in the cloud from the legal point of view and the role of archivists in the aspects indicated. Finally, it refers to the need for adequate training for archivists because they are the main actors in the implementation of information and communications technologies in archives.
