This investigation tries to know and analyze why organizations of Cordoba Province contract through a third party, studying Interfile Company, settled in Rio Cuarto city. There are few studies about this subject in the scientific production of archivology in our country; that is why we consider that is necessary to improve and know the development of this kind of companies for our profession. As a general hypothesis we consider that entities do not have enough archival culture, specially the ignorance of the value of documents that they produce, make that they contract companies that outsource file services, without thinking about the possibility of doing it themselves. An interview to the person who is responsable at Interfile and a questionnaire to thirty clients of the company, help to achieve the objectives set and demonstrate the hypothesis.   Keywords Interfile- Outsourcing- Subcontracting- Archive- File services. Un gran número de empresas tercerizadoras brindan servicios de archivo a diversas entidades en nuestro país. En esta investigación se trata de conocer y analizar las causas de contratación de las tercerizadoras por parte de las organizaciones de la provincia de Córdoba, tomando como estudio de caso la empresa Interfile, radicada en la ciudad de Río Cuarto. Son escasos los estudios que abordan este tema en la producción científica de la Archivología en nuestro país, por ello consideramos necesario profundizar y conocer el desarrollo de este tipo de empresas para el ejercicio de nuestra profesión. Se plantea como hipótesis general que la falta de cultura archivística de las entidades, particularmente el desconocimiento del valor de los documentos que producen, hace que recurran a la contratación de las tercerizadoras de servicios de archivo, sin plantearse la posibilidad de administrarlos ellas mismas. Una entrevista a la responsable de Interfile y un cuestionario a treinta clientes de la empresa ayudan a lograr los objetivos planteados y demostrar la hipótesis.   Palabras Claves Interfile- Tercerización- Subcontratación- Archivo- Servicios de archivo.
