Sumario:This congress summarized the principles and political doctrines on which the United States of America had been built, were for a double reason, widely known in the United Provinces of the Rio de la Plata. By reason of the commercial relations maintained for fifty years between the two countries and the diplomatic relations that had already been established between them. The United States was the oldest American republic, so it was natural that when the Argentine people decided to declare the independence of their country, they looked to the United States and followed its example.
